Terms of Service

By accessing or using Placivago (placivago.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CleverOwl Solutions Ltd (company registered in England and Wales), trading as Placivago. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Placivago. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 16 or older. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account immediately. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

You may use certain features of Placivago without an account. To save scores, access game history, and use Pro features, you must register an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@placivago.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not create accounts using automated methods. You may not impersonate other persons or use misleading usernames.

You agree not to: - Use the service in any way that violates applicable law - Attempt to circumvent rate limits or API restrictions - Use automated tools to scrape, bulk-download, or reverse-engineer the service - Interfere with the proper functioning of the service - Attempt to access other users' data - Use the service to train machine learning models without our written consent - Cheat, exploit vulnerabilities, or manipulate scores We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

Placivago Pro is available as a monthly (£3.99/month) or annual (£29/year) subscription. All prices include UK VAT (VAT No. GB519492465). Free trial: Each new account includes a seven-day free trial of Placivago Pro, granted once at sign-up and requiring no payment method. At the end of the trial, Pro access ends automatically unless you choose to subscribe; no charge is made unless and until you subscribe. Launch offer: For a limited introductory period, new members may subscribe at a launch rate of half price for the first year: £1.99/month or £14.50/year. After the first 12 months your subscription automatically renews at the standard price (£3.99/month or £29/year). The launch rate is a limited-time introductory offer and may be withdrawn or changed at any time; the price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your subscription. Promotional and invitation codes: We may issue promotional or invitation codes, including codes that grant Pro access at no charge. Such codes are personal, non-transferable, have no cash value, and may be limited in number or withdrawn at any time. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@placivago.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your payment card details. We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice; any change will not affect the price of a paid period already in progress.

Placivago is free to play, and the free experience may be supported by advertising. We may display advertisements to users on the free tier, for example a banner on our home page. This applies to both our website and our mobile apps. Placivago Pro is ad-free. While your Pro subscription, or your free trial, is active, we do not show you advertising. Advertisements may be sold and served by us directly, or delivered through third-party advertising partners or networks. Where advertising is served by a third party, that partner may use cookies or similar technologies to display and measure advertisements, and in some cases to personalise them. This is described in our Privacy Policy, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for the products or services they promote, and the presence of an advertisement is not an endorsement by us. Advertising is subject to our reasonable acceptance and we may refuse or remove any advertisement at our discretion.

Monthly subscriptions: No refunds are provided for the current billing month. Annual subscriptions: If you cancel within 14 days of purchase and have not used Pro features, you are entitled to a full refund under UK consumer law. Contact support@placivago.com with your request. We may offer discretionary refunds in exceptional circumstances.

All content on Placivago, including but not limited to text, design, code, and the Placivago brand, is owned by CleverOwl Solutions Ltd or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Street View imagery is provided by Google and subject to Google's terms of service. We do not own or claim ownership of Street View content. By submitting content to Placivago (e.g. username), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content in connection with providing the service.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. Placivago is an evolving game. Gameplay, game modes, rules, scoring, destinations, features, and which features are free or require Pro are all subject to change, and we may add, modify, suspend, or remove any of them at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any change to, or discontinuation of, the service or any feature. Street View coverage is dependent on Google's platform. We cannot guarantee availability in all locations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CleverOwl Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you have a dispute with us, please contact support@placivago.com first. We aim to resolve disputes amicably.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the website with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
